It was established in 2001 by our visionary founder director, Akshay Shah, to cater to the needs and help small businesses cope with the complexities of the industry with support and expertise. Having worked extensively in the industry, Akshay saw firsthand the challenges small businesses faced on a day-to-day basis. He realized from this that there was a need to help these businesses clear their hurdles and founded a practice to do just that.
The practice was originally a general practice, serving many different needs. It did take some time, though, before we started to experience organic growth because of regular networking and the terrific suggestions from our delighted clients. Over the years, this development has enabled us to develop a niche expertise in the dynamic fields of e-commerce, hospitality, property, and technology.
In our philosophy, technology has always been an integral part of it. We’ve had great success in automating our processes, with the use of cutting-edge software solutions such as XERO, Dext, and Go Proposal. This dedication to innovation has helped us to better serve our clients, as well as made our work more efficient.
Now, our team consists of a strong 10 experts with all kinds of knowledge and dedication. We are committed to helping our clients, current and prospective, particularly in our field of expertise.
In the near future, we are excited about the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are looking to continue to leverage AI to further transform how we deliver our services to become even more cost-effective accountancy and advisory services. Since earning my Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) qualification in 2001, I have built extensive experience across senior finance roles, including Finance Controller and Finance Director, primarily within the IT sector and its allied industries. In 2006, I established my own practice with a clear focus on supporting the growth of small businesses and emerging startups.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy travelling, playing golf, and building meaningful connections through networking. I also value spending quality time with friends and family, which helps me maintain a balanced and grounded approach to both life and business.

Equipped with a Bachelor of Arts and a background in the cosmetic beauty sector, I’ve taken on the role of Events Manager at ACE. My duties involve orchestrating client networking events, team social gatherings, nurturing client relations, among other tasks. Leisure time for me is about embracing the joys of travel, engaging in social activities, and forming new friendships.

Since joining ACE in 2011 as an AAT-certified professional, she has progressed to Senior Accountant and Practice Manager. Her role is central to guiding the firm’s operations, with expertise in statutory accounts and corporate taxation. She specialises in tax strategy, overseas income disclosure, and capital gains tax, while also mentoring the team and upholding ACE’s high professional standards.
Outside work, she enjoys listening to spiritual podcasts, staying updated on tax and accounting developments, and travelling to experience diverse cultures.
Jasleen Gandhi

With a strong foundation in commerce, including a bachelor’s degree and advanced studies in Business Management, she is currently completing her AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Having been with ACE since 2013, she leads the VAT, Payroll, Auto Enrolment Pensions, P11D, and Bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions. She also prepares personal tax returns for a wide range of clients and holds XERO Payroll Certification.
Outside work, she enjoys exploring different cuisines, spending quality time with family and friends, and participating in social gatherings.
Sajia Afrin

She is a Senior Bookkeeper and Assistant Accountant at ACE, holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University. Currently pursuing ACCA studies, she applies her certifications in XERO, DEXT, and A2X to specialise in e-commerce accounting. Her experience spans platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce, delivering end-to-end accounting solutions including payroll, VAT, monthly management accounts, and year-end accounts for sole traders and companies.
Outside work, she enjoys painting, gardening, drawing, and music, finding creativity a perfect balance to her professional role.

Her calm, methodical working style helps simplify complex financial tasks for both colleagues and clients.
Outside of work, Khushbu enjoys creative pursuits such as design and drawing, specialising in mandala art and scratch illustrations, which provide a relaxing outlet for her creativity.

I specialize in managing the financial affairs of diverse businesses, including dining establishments, Airbnb properties, and IT consulting agencies. My track record includes adeptly handling numerous VAT inspections by HMRC.
In my leisure time, I relish the thrill of outdoor adventures, the escapism offered by films, and the joy of social gatherings with friends.

What information is needed to get and accurate quote from you?
To begin, we’ll conduct a concise evaluation of your books and records to gauge the scope of work required. We’ll also request a copy of your most recent financial statements prepared by your current accountant to offer pertinent guidance.
